PSA: PSN is Currently Down
PlayStation Network (PSN)
is experiencing a major outage, according to Down Detector, with reports of
disruptions since at least 3 PM PST / 6 PM EST. The PlayStation Network Service
page confirms that all services—including sign-in, gaming, and the PlayStation
Store—are currently unavailable.
Sony has acknowledged the issue, tweeting that they are "aware some users might be currently experiencing issues with PSN." However, there’s no official timeline for when services will be restored.
This outage means some of your favorite games, including Marvel Rivals, Call of Duty, and Fortnite, are temporarily inaccessible. The situation is significant enough that publishers are warning players. NetEase, the developer of Marvel Rivals, informed its community via Discord that "due to the PlayStation server’s emergent issue today," users may struggle to launch games, apps, or network features. They assured players they are actively working with PlayStation to resolve the issue.
NetEase apologized for the inconvenience and promised to update the community as soon as the problem is fixed.
We’ll keep you posted when PSN is back up and running. In the meantime, other platforms remain unaffected, so the issue appears to be isolated to PlayStation Network.
Stay tuned for updates!
